Quand j’ai commencé l’idéation de la FDPRTN, j’étais en train de produire cette série de photo ci-dessus.

Comme les magasins pop-up sont monnaie courante dans le quartier,  la FDPRTN se présente comme un magasin d’échantillon ouvert exclusivement pour un week-end. Son look oscille entre le magasin de vêtement sexy et la coop universitaire. Le but est simplement d’écouler la marchandise.

Sarah Johnson is a young graduate from Rosemère who has just arrived in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal. Her valley girl looks bother only those who don't really know her. Barely cartoonish, this facade hides a Super Reporter who is uncompromising towards prejudice by day but willingly fulfills dirty renegade cowgirl fantasies by night.
She draws her audacity from the canonical figures of gutsy art: Erin Brockovich, the House Bunny, Cindy Campbell, Isabelle Huppert in the movie "Elle", Kimberly Hart, and not forgetting Thelma and Louise, to name but a few. Although she's just learning to cope with her own body and her new role as a reporter, she's not above attracting attention in order to get what she wants.
Hence why, when faced with the rise of the disguised Conspirationist Servatrice and her boring Rats-Bougris against Lheure Ducompte, Sarah Johnson refuses to "do nothing" and to remain silent. Microphone and pen in hand, she sets out to find true stories.

Rosemère qui vient tout juste d'arriver à Tiohtià:ke/Montréal. Son allure de valley girl n'a de prise que sur

Elle

Bien qu'elle apprivoise tranquillement son corps ainsi que ses nouvelles fonctions de
reporter, elle ne manque pas d'attirer l'attention afin d'obtenir ce qu'elle
cherche. 


C'est pourquoi,
devant la montée de la déguisée Conspirationniste Servatrice et des désolants Rats-Bougris insurgé·e·s contre Lheure Ducompte, Sarah Johnson, refuse de «ne rien faire» et de
garder le silence. Microphone et formulaire en main, elle part à la recherche
de faits vécus et de ressentis.

As summer is coming to an end, students are away and most organizations are still closed for another few weeks. However, Sarah's activism and commitment are keeping her busy. In fact, our superheroine is already preparing for her first day at Polytechnique Montréal (!!!), or at least she's already stressing about her back-to-school looks.
In partnership with the Poly-Out committee, Sarah Johnson will put on a handful of performances on the Mount-Royal campus this fall.&#38;nbsp; She presents herself as a reporter with polymorphous powers, questioning the day-to-day reality of sexual and gender minorities at Polytechnique Montréal. Eyerolls expected.
Embracing that gender role, Sarah Johnson sets out to meet future engineers: those who, in the not-so-distant future, will find themselves in a position to decide and create the infrastructure of our shared spaces.

C'est l'été, les étudiant·e·s sont en vacances, et plusieurs organisations ferment leurs portes pendant quelques semaines, mais l'activisme et l'engagement de Sarah la maintiennent bien active. En effet, notre super héroïne prépare déjà sa rentrée scolaire à Polytechnique Montréal (!!!), du moins elle rumine déjà son stress quant à son look de la rentrée.
En partenariat avec le comité Poly-Out, Sarah Johnson réalise quelques performances ponctuelles cet automne sur le campus universitaire qui longe le Mont-Royal. Elle s'y présente comme une reporter aux pouvoirs polymorphes qui s’interroge sur la réalité quotidienne des personnes en situation de minorité sexuelle ou de genre au sein de Polytechnique Montréal. Sourcillement en perspective.
C'est donc dans ce rôle assigné que Sarah Johnson part à la rencontre des futur·e·s ingénieur·e·s : ces personnes qui, dans un avenir pas si lointain, se trouveront dans une situation de décision et de création quant à l'infrastructure de nos espaces partagés.

FRLe jour J est arrivé. Bien sûr j’ai des papillons dans le ventre et j’ai mal dormi toute la semaine. Je pense à tous ces nouveaux visages et ça m’emballe!

Je sais que mon coeur va s’emballer et me faire dire des folies.Mais c’est bon, ce sera comme d’habitude.

À mon arrivée, je fais la rencontre du comité Poly-Out ❤️️ avec qui j’ai échangé par courriel.Iels m’emmènent faire une visite de l’école.
Mis à part le tressaillement de certaines personnes en me voyant traverser la cafétéria, tout le monde me sourit. J’ai même l’opportunité de discuter avec plusieurs étudiant·e·s, dont celles et ceux de l’équipe de bolide motorisé.🧼 😁

À mon arrivée, un groupe d’étudiant·e·s anime un kiosque autour d’un bolide motorisé. Il semblerait que&#38;nbsp;la course de la semaine dernière ne s’est pas bien passée pour l’équipe de Polytechnique.
Après avoir passé en revue les aspects évidents du design visuel qui sont — à mon humble avis — à retravailler et qui ont dû nuire à leur image auprès des juges, je m’informe sur le·la pilote.Avec le flair d’un·e artiste tout droit sorti d’un jury de pairs, je sens que le choix du·de la pilote semble bien arbitraire finalement. Évidemment, le pilote qui avait été choisi pour conduire l’engin était un mec de Poly. 

Comme je sais très bien me mêler de ce qui ne me regarde pas, je décide de m’immiscer dans ce calcul douteux qui a couté la victoire à l’équipe de Polytechnique Montréal.Plus je questionne les étudiant·e·s sur le processus qui a mené au choix du pilote, plus je réalise que ce choix n’est pas anodin.En effet, pour atteindre une vitesse maximale avec un bolide de course aux capacités motrices définies et optimales, le choix du·de la pilote devrait se faire&#38;nbsp;en fonction du poids du·de la conducteur·trice, sans oublier de considérer aussi les aptitudes de conduite.Pour des compétences de conduite comparables sur un circuit fermé, on préfèrera le·la pilote le·la plus léger·ère.&#38;nbsp;

Évidemment, l’équipe rit un peu jaune lorsque j’explique tout ça du haut de mes talons roses de 3 pouces avec un air d’évidence.C’est simple, tout le monde fait rapidement l’exercice dans sa tête et se rend bien compte que le genre du conducteur n’a rien à voir avec&#38;nbsp;l’aptitude de conduite, et que cette dernière peut faire la différence seulement si on compare une excellente aptitude à une très mauvaise, car au bout du compte, le poids compte pour beaucoup plus au final.&#38;nbsp;

Aucun·e récalcitrant·e n’a osé défier mon calcul.&#38;nbsp;

Et si jamais quelqu’un s’avise de le faire en mentionnant qu’un poids plus léger affectera l’adhérence du véhicule au sol, j’ai quelques conseils sur le design du véhicule en lien avec la portance. Je suis prête!

Désolé les boys, mais vite vite, à vue d’œil, je pense que vous devriez faire des calculs l’an prochain pour sélectionner votre pilot·e, ce pourrait être votre compagne de classe la ou le plus apte à la tâche!

—Chapitre 2
Les vacances

Les vacances seront bien méritées pour Sarah. Les cours, les examens, l’implication, le réseautage et toutes ces heures les yeux rivés sur l’écran ont fini par lui donner le mal de cœur. Ce sont les amies, les partys et les p’tites soirées plus festives que les autres qui font qu’on peut supporter tout le reste.
 

Évidemment, les idées préconçues que Sarah s’était faites de Polytechnique se sont avérées fausses. 
On ne sait pas pourquoi, elle avait secrètement peur que ça ressemble à ses pires souvenirs de nightclub dans le vieux Montréal : des centaines de preppies qui promènent leurs muscles en petits groupes et qui sentent trop fort le parfum.


Mais au fond, il n’en était rien de tout cela. Bien au contraire, Sarah a trouvé que tout le monde était bien smatte et respectueux à Polytechnique, surtout la gang de Poly-Out. Elle les trouvait toustes très nice et elle était vraiment contente de les retrouver chaque fois. Elle savait que s’il y avait quoi que ce soit, elle pouvait toujours compter sur iels.

Quand elle y pense, il y avait juste les agent·e·s de sécurité qui semblaient mal s’accommoder de sa présence. Soit iels s’inventaient un droit de lui refuser l’entrée, soit iels s’arrangeaient pour l’accompagner vers la sortie d’une façon ou d’une autre. Était-ce sa démarche de walk of shame qui éveillait leur suspicion, ou bien était-ce ses flamboyants battements de cils qui accrochaient leur regard? Impossible de savoir.


Et même après toutes ses sorties dans le microcosme de Polytechnique à sonder les étudiant·e·s sur leurs connaissances des réalité·e·s queers, elle ne pouvait toujours pas tirer de conclusions ni tracer de tendances à plus grande échelle. 
Par exemple, elle ne comprenait toujours pas pourquoi le jeu du travestissement est acclamé à l’unanimité lorsqu’il est joué par un comédien de renom, mais qu’il incite des gens à manifester leur haine contre la communauté Queer lorsque celle-ci se prête au même jeu.

Mélanger performance d’infiltration, drag, art social et activisme 2SLGBTQIA+, elle avait l’impression d’utiliser les revendications de sa communauté pour cocher le plus de cases possible.


Elle avait elle-même créé cette mauvaise pièce de théâtre improvisée où elle lance des répliques un peu plaquées. D’ailleurs, pourquoi l’art performance et l’art action refuse autant le théâtre? Il est pourtant partout dans notre quotidien, il est dans nos réseaux sociaux à longueur de journée; il a fleuri comme du chiendent dans notre système de justice, nos institutions démocratiques et nos figures politiques; il s’est infiltré comme un clown grotesque dans nos communautés en silo, dans notre small talk avec les voisins ou même dans le vacarme incessant de nos médias d’information. Il fait hélas partie de notre banale quotidienneté et on ne le voit même plus (!) alors qu’on lui reprochait d’être figé, maniéré et factice.

Qu’à cela ne tienne, ces questions semblent pour l’heure trop complexes et éparses pour les rassembler au sein d’une thèse ou d’un mémoire. 


C’est donc dire que Sarah se donnera encore un peu de temps afin de comprendre pourquoi et surtout :

comment tout cela est relié à l’ingénierie des espaces que nous partageons.

C'est
samedi dernier que j'ai enfin pu déposer mon mémoire sur la table à
Polytechnique Montréal devant une foule de curieux·euse·s d'en savoir plus au
sujet de mes recherches menées pendant l'année.

Cette théorie a été développée par le performeur Alain-Martin Richard. Il les&#38;nbsp;définit ainsi :
&#38;nbsp;
«Chaque hypothèse, illustrée par une petite action, devient le lieu de disparition de quelque chose et, ultimement, de nous-mêmes, un jeu absurde où le paradoxe n’est jamais épuisé et où chaque action ne produit bien sûr pas du&#38;nbsp;vide, mais tout au plus une légère distorsion dans la notion du spectacle comme délégation de nous.»&#38;nbsp;

Grande ouverture du 
Centre d’interprétation du vent

Tous les Baie-Comois et Baie-Comoises sont grandement invités à l’ouverture du Centre d’interprétation du vent&#38;nbsp;de Baie-Comeau le vendredi 21 août à compter de 18h au 36 place LaSalle.

					
Mis en place dans un milieu naturellement venteux, le Centre d’interprétation du vent propose
de collecter des énoncés ayant trait aux déplacements d’air par le biais de formulaires disponibles
gratuitement au C.I.V. L’interprétation du vent se fait sur place et ne prend que quelques minutes.
Une série d’objets sera mise à la disposition du public afin de faciliter l’expression.

					
*Ouvert du 21 au 23 août 2015 inclusivement, dans le cadre de la randonnée exploratoire.

Au CIV, les gens sont invités à interpréter le courant d’air de leur choix. On pourrait le voir comme une invitation à plonger dans ses souvenirs ou dans sa conscience et d’en révéler l’imaginaire.

Essayer de me faire courir après en faisant le Yéti à Laval.

Les sentiers éphémères, Henry trouve que ça sonne fort romantique, oooh oui! Et puisque nous y sommes, l’idée d’enfiler une combinaison spéciale pour partir à la découverte du territoire lavallois caresse sa détermination chambranlante*. Quelle étrange envie de troquer ainsi la dureté de l’asphalte pour la fragile croûte glacée des sentiers.

Une chose paraît certaine, ce serait bien plus aisé et efficace de sillonner les sentiers saisonniers, les forêts, et les bords de route à dos de motoneige. Mais bien entendu, les autres Henry de ce monde lui ont bien fait savoir qu’il ne pouvait pas se trémousser de la sorte sur une pareille machine dans un habit de neige aussi non sécuritaire !

Le projet Wohhoh Henry ! s’enfouffre** littéralement dans l’hiver en tentant de ponctuer cette incessante saisonnalité d’un feutre qui s’amincit : comme semi-fondu et noirci par l’échappement des carburateurs.

Une invitation à oublier l’hiver en participant ensemble au réchauffement de sa propre soute climatique… l’odeur de moteur 2 temps devrait faire le reste.


* Possiblement dû à son lourd bagage colon.

** Le verbe enfouffrer est un verbe inventé qui, à la forme pronominale, signifie : s’engouffrer avec un soupçon de folie !

Pour l’œuvre Wohhoh Henry !, j’ai fait une série de présences performatives dans les relais motoneige de Laval équipé d’une soute d’hiver fabriquée spécialement à cette fin.

Il y a plusieurs façons de stabiliser le déchet obtenue lors de l’électrolysation de la bauxite pour produire l’aluminium. Des recherches ont même proposé d’ajouter ce déchet comme agrégat au béton, ce qui rend le béton conducteur! La compagnie Rio Tinto doit mieux géré ses déchets toxiques et travailler pour le transformer en matière inerte pour l’environnement, et non étendre son enfouissement.
De plus, la cartographie du site démontre bien le danger d’un déversement de produit toxiques dans le Saguenay. Comme Rio Tinto est l’industrie principale au Saguenay, il est difficile et complexe pour les Saguenéens·ennes de dire NON à Rio Tinto, puisque toute l’économie régionale en dépend.

En 2013, je décide de m’infiltrer au Lac de boue rouge (bauxite) de Rio Tinto Alcan.

J’ai été étonné en y retournant une deuxième fois de constater que la boue n’était pas de la même couleur dans mon souvenir.

J’ai repris ces petites pousses chétives pour les ramener dans le parc qui fait face à l’usine de transformation du bois, et ce afin d’éventuellement cacher l’usine pour les visiteur·euse·s qui jouissent du parc.

Tous les plants d’épinette sont morts sous le soleil plombant du parc. Le même sort qui les attendait dans les forêts pratiquement coupées à blanc où ils avaient été plantés à l’origine.
